In early 1998, I was that excited that finally I could buy a hand phone. It was Nokia 5110. At that time the phone could only make and receive a phone call. At the end of (maybe 1998) the phone could received sms, but it was only to the same operator.
The cost of making phone thru hand phone was very expensive and to get the number I had to spent another Rp. 600.000 ! (Compared to right now ? Rp. 10.000 or Rp. 15.000 for general numbers, Rp. 600.000 we can get a good number).
My first hand phone, accompanied me until 2001.
